The Ugliest Teabag Ever – An Interview with TGN Partner OneCheesyMofo

We’re down here in the trenches with TGN Partner OneCheesyMofo, our resident BF4 expert, and we couldn’t be happier.  For all our fans out there that love playing BF4, OneCheesyMofo, is your man, with hundreds of hours of BF4 gameplay footage just waiting for you! We’ve been lucky enough to get some downtime with him between matches to ask him some fun questions, so read on to learn more about the man they call “Nacho”….

Q. For gamers out there that are not already familiar with your content, what is your channel all about?  Tell us a little bit about yourself.

A, My channel is called OneCheesyMofo and it’s a gaming channel! They call me Nacho which is short for my first name – Ignacio, and I’m just a 21 year old kid with some big big plans for my future.

Q. Do you have a favorite video (that you created)? Why?

A. Hmm, I think I’d have to go with a recent upload which is my Battlefield 4 montage. It’s my first ever gameplay montage and I think it turned out pretty sweet.

Q. What is your favorite video game of all time? Why?

A. That’s a tough one. I grew up on Spyro, Jak & Daxter, and Ratchet & Clank just to name a few so I can’t pick just one haha. There are WAY too many fantastic games and I think others can agree.

Q. How did you get started on YouTube?  What was your inspiration for starting a channel?

A. I started off as a viewer and decided to give it a try. I guess I was inspired by the fact that 1) you can make a living of it if you work hard enough and 2) as cheesy as this might sound, the fame. I’m one of those people that see celebs (actors, musicians, athletes) and just want to reach that stardom. Have a fanbase and be loved my thousands if not millions and inspire others. I think everyone has thought about that at least once in their life.

Q. What is your favorite video capture program?  Audio capture?

A. I currently use the Elgato HD60 and it’s the best device for console capturing. I’m not big into PC gaming just yet so I can’t talk about PC capturing even though I know a few devices and software’s. For audio capture I use Audacity.

Q. Walk us through your typical work day.  How do you allocate your time between playing games, video creation and building your community?

A. Well I try to have a little format that I go by which is pretty basic, I record as much as I can early on in the day and edit and upload throughout the night. Some days, if I can I’ll record all day and then the next day I’ll edit all day. Then during certain stages of the work flow like rendering and uploading I’ll take time to reply to comments and get other minor tasks done.

Q. For aspiring gaming YouTubers, what is your best advice for success?  What are the top things to avoid doing?

A. Simply be yourself. Have a great personality and people will love you, if they love you they will subscribe. Stay consistent with your uploads (daily). I see many ask why their channel is failing, then you check their channel and they’re uploading once a week. Playing what’s trending is always a great way to gain more exposure because more people will be looking for videos of that new game.

Q. How do you choose which games to play on your channel?  Do you go more for what’s trending or do you stick to games you love to play?

A. What’s new/trending definitely is a factor but also what I like and what looks fun. Also if it can make for great commentary and videos.

Q. So, shooters.  Your channel is dominated by them!  Do you have a favorite that you play in your spare time, but prefer not to showcase?

A. Nope. Only games I play right now are the one’s going up on my channel haha.

Q. Judging by your recent videos, it’s practically all BF4, all the time! How did you like the single-player campaign?

A. I’ve actually never tried the single player. I need to though because there are some weapons that can only be unlocked by playing through the campaign.

Q. Have you played the Commander Mode?  How do you like it if you have?  Or if you haven’t, do you think you’ll check it out?

A. I’ve never tried commander mode haha. I’m not even 100% sure how it works, something to do with a tablet? Feel like a noob…

Q. What’s your favorite vehicle to crush your enemies to death with in Battlefield 4?

A. My fav by far is the AA (Anti-Air) armored vehicle. Just so much fun shooting down helicopters and jets.

Q. What’s the best part about multiplayer in BF4?

A. 32 vs 32. Complete chaos in CQB maps.

Q. Let’s start a flame war: CoD: AW or BF4?

A. Haha well I like both but definitely enjoying BF4 a lot more at the moment.

Q. What’s the most heroic, or hilarious, thing that someone has ever done in one of your multi-player online matches?

A. A funny one that comes to mind is when a fan – who found me in a random match – killed me, they started t-baggin’ and walking at the same time and it was the ugliest t-bag ever. Looked like the character was crippled haha. Everyone in the comment section of the video said it was hysterical.

Ahhh, memories.  Don’t all of our favorite shooter moments involve tea-bagging? It’s a time honored classic.  A big thanks to OneCheesyMofo for joining us and taking the time to answer our questions.  Be sure to check out his channel for the latest BF4 updates and gameplay videos!
