Hello In a video a few months back you raved about youtube live and offered it too all partners who signed a form. So many of us went ahead and did that but i am still yet to see this feature on my channel. This sort of feature would very much help our channel grow as livestreams are a great way to interact with viewers. Yer we can use twitch but the videos we make for them dont land in peoples sub boxes properly due to youtube glitches and the fact most people have their homepage set too highlights. Whats happened to the implementation of this feature on our channels?
We batch through the names to YouTube. YouTube will decide who gets YouTube live and who doesn't since it's still in beta. Many TGN partners have already received the feature but honestly YouTube live is so buggy anyway, not sure why you would want it. Use Twitch.tv instead.
I got my live option right now. Tested it out , and it turly lack of "configuration" like chosing our BR because it was not smooth at at.
Not sure where these youtube streams pop up but trust me it's a LOT better than Twitch.tv Would rather try to hit an audience who wouldn't know what a stream is and want to check it out versus, trying to peel viewers off the big guys on twitch, plus with twitch's new layout you can hardly tell it's a streaming service for lots of video games, first thing you see usually is MLG coverage ect. which is cool, because thats who people are really there to see. Then if the person bothers to scroll down you see game icons, like it's some cheezy cracked.exe site.
I totaly , agree but the stream option we got with youtube acctualy (the one with google) is a total crap. I did an aply like 2 or 3 months ago for the real streaming option and still nothing.
Just as an update to this thread George revealed in last nights TGN PULSE episode that they are still "bugging" youtube to get live enabled on everyones channels. He said there is over 400 channel and some TGN Hubs still waiting so we just have to be patient
