Hey, I have just uploaded my gears of war video and in the final cinematic there's a song. We were all talking over it but you can still hear it. Is this still breaching the copyright rules because it got matched. "Finally A Tomorrow", musical composition administered by: One or more music publishing rights collecting societies I think the song starts at 8:45, not sure though. I just want to check if i'm okay to claim this or do I have to remove it?
I am going to create a Minecraft parody and was wondering if its ok to sing over the original song instimental for example this:
Hi umm.. Can I use music, that are in the game? I mean, I am doing a spore let's play, and I sped up some parts, and I want to put music to that part FROM the game, so the music actually came with the product, but as I read, there is a maker (Brian Eno) so I have to ask him to use it in my video, even if it came with the product?
Hello, I was wondering what happens if you have music on videos that you paid for and put links in the description that leads to where you can buy the song? Because I have an intro in my videos and put the link to the song in the description and I never go copyright notice from youtube.
Hey there TGN Forums! Can i do Commentaries over FIFA 12 Gameplay? But the thing is there is in game music which i think is copyright on the menus. I wanted to make sure if i could still upload the videos even if i had some music with me commenting over it. Any help is welcomed. And one other question. Does TGN have licences for GTA Games or Rock star games? Because i know when your playing gta the radio has music so i don't know if its produces for the game and its fine or it is copyrighted?
What about Fan Art from a video game you drew. like I do know Gaming websites like GameSpot, IGN, and Machinima tend to make fan art. in networks are they allowed to use like a Pokemon as an Icon. but I'm curious about fan art are users allowed to make a speedpaint of a character that they really like a Pokemon or other. with or without commentary. or maybe with some Royalty Free music. because I would love to hear what TGN thinks about this.
Generally speaking, if you drew it - it's yours. If you're doing a speed art or 'tutorial' on drawing - yes you can monetize it. I don't think I've ever heard of an instance of companies giving artists a hard time about this.
oh, I see. Thank you. I am an artist on DeviantART. but I will soon be able to post some youtube videos about my art. so props to you for helping me decide.
Hey, I want to make youtube gameplays/lets plays/commentaries, but I'm unclear on what exactly falls under "fair use". If I have a video with me and some friends playing Call of Duty Black Ops and doing live commentary over it, would it be fair use? How about if it were to make a lets play of a game, for example Assassins Creed II, and do live commentary over it, and edit some parts out? Would that be fair use? Thanks!
I am wondering if uploading video game gameplay WITH education commentary throughout the gameplay is acceptable under fair use and whether or not it can be monetized without partnership. Also if the youtube channel it is on is connected to adsense but the monetized option was not ticked can I still be banned from adsense even though it was a non-profit use.
hi, i was just wondering if i become parterned with TGN, would i be able to monetize world of warcraft and guild wars 2 content? I already have the content on my channel here: http://www.youtube.com/st3althtv and was just wondering if it would be possible. thanks
I got written permission of DJ Jägger to use his compositions in my videos. Is it OK to start using them in my channel?
PLEASE ANSWER THIS Can I still get accepted into the network if I had videos with copyrighted music, but I deleted them? Also, are there age restrictions?
There are no age restrictions, you just need to be 18 or older or have a parent/guardian sign the contract for you. If you have current copyright, you must delete all copyright content before applying to ensure a speedy process.
Hello, I have a youtube channel and I want to be a partner, but in some videos, I show up with the mask of Iron Man, Hulk, and am known as "Iron Flea," We do parodies, fan film, has a problem we use mask? or put videos on behalf of "Iron Man Fan Film Parody"? Is it OK to cite names in the video? thank you
Hey i just wanted to clear something up you say about doing gameplay videos that You can likely avoid copyright in this video simply by omitting that intro sequence and just show actual gameplay. So does that mean if i edit out the intro movie/cut scene can i use the various cut scenes from the story of the game. So assassins creed 3 for example usually when you go speak to someone a cut scene will trigger and then you will do the mission is that ok? Im curious because id like to start doing full walkthroughs. I have seen alot of people on youtube doing this and just wondered if i need permission how you get it aswell?
So I found a "Dubstep" soundcloud account and all of there music is under creative commons. But when I go to the authors sound cloud it's not under creative commons. So when it is re uploaded on this channel is the artist giving permission to this guy to put it under this license so that everyone can use this certain song they created? I'm looking for a quick response because I'm making a video like this weekend.
