Is a montage like this considered copyright? ... disregarding the music, just talking about the footages and voices from ESPN's Skip Bayless, Tim Tebow, ... etc.
I'm planning to partner, but let's say for example, I have E3 footage of CoD Black Ops 2, Halo 4, and some trailers, but I'd like to keep them on my channel instead of deleting them. Can I just not monetize them and keep them, or is deleting them from my channel the only option? Please help, my friend, who is also planning to partner, just deleted some of his videos, and I'm dying inside to know that I may have to do the same for some of my videos.
Unless you got claims on these videos I won't delete them. Those claims can grow to Copyright Strikes and those are bad, because it will be a lot harder/impossible to become a partner then! You can't monetize videos who are claimed, if they aren't claimed you can monetize your vids. So do they have a claim on them? If not, you won't have to delete this videos. If there are claims on videos then you won't have to delete them, I got some videos from Assassin's Creed Revelations walkthrough who are claimed by Ubisoft, but are still online and I don't have any problems with them. Correct me if I'm wrong!
Did you analyse the E3 footage or trailers with commentary? If not, that this is copyright infringement. You can not upload full trailers without analyse them.
Only 4 trailers out of the 9 I have uploaded have claims on them. I can understand that, but for the others, they are just trailers with no commentary but do not have claims. What should I do? Should I keep them, delete them? HELP!!! My Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/xXxL3tHa1xXx
Pretty hard to say, because it CAN be risky to leave them online. But on the other hand, my Assassin's Creed videos are just claims for a long time and nothing happened with these claims. I guess it depends on who's the one who claims your videos, every company has other rules. And also, check if your videos aren't false claims. Some of my Assassin's Creed videos were claimed by Howcast who doesn't even have the rights.
Than it is copyright. If you want to get partnered you need to delete the video's. You can post full game trailers but with commentary. Read the handbook: http://tgn.tv/handbooks/#fair-use
I got a content ID Match that stats: Your video "Diablo 3, Part 17: A Royal Audience | 4 player Co-op Playthrough (Let's Play Gameplay)", may have content that is owned or licensed by IGN, but it’s still available on YouTube! In some cases, ads may appear next to it. is this okay? And can I be partner with this?
As long that claim doesn't grow to a copyright strike, which are serieus business, there won't be a problem.
I'm pretty sure this is a false claim. IGN doesn't own the Diablo franchise so you can dispute it. And yes you can be partnered with content id matches.
I buy most of my royalty free music from productiontrax.com, when I buy a piece of music, I don't get an email confirming that I can use it for this and that, I just get an email with a link so I can download the piece. how would I document that I actually have the right to use it?
We were at Nintendo's Post E3 Event yesterday, and made a video of a dance act on an upcoming Wii U game: There's no Content ID Match, nor Copyright Strike, but something still bugs me. Even though it's an in-game song, the video is unedited, and Nintendo Staff were singing on it (not in-game), everything seems alright, but it still doesn't feel alright. After all, the Wii U game showed Party Rock from LMFAO, but that's something that came up in my mind, the day after Uploading (right now). I'll delete the video, if it's not okay, but I'll leave it on if it's okay.
if I made a video, using this music: The video description, channel description clealy states I am allowed to use the music, but I havn't got a signature from the artist? Please look into this before responding.
As long as you have some sort of written permission whether it be a YouTube message or an email, it is ok to use.
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and would like to know if my video is breaching the copyright agreement with TGN for if I were partnered.
