Guys, read the copyright handbook, all your answers will be there: http://tgn.tv/handbooks/#copyright
I read the handbook, then I went through all my videos and there is 1 video I’m not sure about This is a trailer I made for my friends level and I use Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Throwback Galaxy music In the handbook it said “Bad: Mix and Match Music Do not mix and match music from one product in a video about another product. Exception: Generally, videos with gameplay can use music from another game. For example, this video featured on Kotaku's homepage on Mar 14, 2012 has Super Mario music in a Battlefield 3 gameplay video “ So I’m not sure If I can keep it or not. Please Help
I have a minecraft video and it has the background music playing of minecraft while he is commentating. ps. the music is only at the end of the video. But he was commentating the whole time. Is that copyright?
I'd like to do commentary (Let's Play-Videos) on the game Ao Oni. As far as I know, this game has been updated a few times, pictures have been changed and so on. Therefore I'm not sure if there's a copyright, especially because I can't read the Japanese website and I don't like to trust the Google translator... I found an e-mail-adress an the website, so I tried to contact them but I got no reply. Any idea, anyone? :/ Thanks in advance.~
i am going to make a youtube video on black ops2 and i am using the backdrop of there website and the call of duty logo is that copyrighted or no
in general, I do believe that LPs are quite safe. There are some exceptions here and there (like frikin Super Castlevania IV) but they're rare as far as I've seen
Did you ask the artist permission to use the music in your video? If not, than it is copyright. The gameplay is not copyright because it is your own work.
Listen the music in this tutorial (is a Loop music). Is it copyrighted? PS: this is not a my video but I want to use same music for my next videos...
You can use It If you have permission to the artist and or their music. If not, It Is considered copyright.
Trailer's aren't ok with the original audio, but if you commentate over them and break them down you're ok. Google images are copyrighted unless they have a creative commons license. Look for that
Well if it is actually news related and is more in detailed, it also depends on what content you are commentating over..
Well then it is ok as long it is actually News related. If you just call something news, it doesn't automatically make it news. Here is an example:
I make LP of GTA, the only problem is I always forget to turn off the radio. However, my gameplay sounds are very faint as I make commentaries. Is this ok or is it copyrighted? Since I don't know the name of the songs!
