Sorry about making that newbie mistake, and thank you for reporting it.

Awesome! I love how it generates the xml for you an everything. Being a web developer, it all makes sense to me, but making a quick walk through video might help people if there are having trouble with some of the steps.

Great tool! I have wanted to be able to do this for a while. It will save lots of time.

Now, what would really be neat is an annotation that can go back and forward in a playlist. That way, we can have a set annotation that ads "previous" and "next" on our videos easely, and if they are tied in a playlist, it would fetch the previous or next video.

A massive life saver! Thank you very much George! I upload 4 videos a day and due to my slow internet speed doing my annotation on each video takes about 15-20 minutes and now only takes 5!

this script is awesome but it doens't work for me.

edit : 2 , no wait this script is top tier, added in 5 minutes annotation to +650 video, that's so great.

I have a problem , i used to click on that button named skip this for your video i think , anyway the first button on step 1 , now i see that button is not anymore there.

So my problem is that when i put my video id and click on get annotation , i got few codes look :

When I try to use my video id to get the annotations off of it, when I click "get annotations" in Step 1, I get a 404 Error message.

Also, the "get skip annotations" button gives more spotlight annotations rather than notes, so can't color the boxes or anything to make them visible.

Any suggestions for this? Thanks.

Hi Guys,

I've been battling this for about 3 hours on 2 different machines. Although there is a way to get the XML annotation stuff (www-youtube-com/annotations_auth/read2?feat=TCS&video_id=_VIDEOID) I can't get the Update annotations or the Publish Annotations buttons to work no matter what I try. Anyone have any hints. In the error console I keep getting -

Anyone have any guesses? I can't imagine updating every video each time the guild downs a boss and I put out a guide. I NEED this to work

It's been about a week since this post and I've needed to use the tool again myself, just found out that I'm getting this same error now as well. Neither the Update or Publish Buttons work, much like the Get Annotations Button stopped working some weeks ago (though you can easily copy them from the video itself, as Jay said). Is it possible that the new YouTube Layout broke the tool?
